DIGOS CITY PROBE

Here is my Platform of Government;

1. To prepare a legislative agenda for inclusion in the Executive Agenda for the priority action of the Sangguniang Panglungsod; ;
2. To help provide college scholarship in the amount of TEN MILLION PESOS (Php10, 000, 000.00) annually;
3. To work for the construction of a Digos City Public Hospital;
4. To continue giving Civic Actions (Oplan Gupit, Free Legal Services, Libre BP, Health Teaching, Free Medicines) throughout Digos City, not only per Barangay but by Purok as well;
5. To work for the establishment of Digos City Bloodbank;
6. To work for an integrated Urban Development plan of Digos city;
7. To work for a comprehensive drainage system for the City of Digos;
8. To provide free consultation, medicine and hospitalization for the Senior Citizens who are residents of Digos City;
9. To help for the establishment of training center for youth, farms and fishermen;
10. To help for the establishment of regular basketball, volleyball and chess tournament in the City of Digos;
11. To work for the issuance of Philhealth ID’s and benefits to Digos City Constituents;
12. Provide for medical assistance for the indigent residents of Digos City;
13. To work for the acquisition of a twenty hectares land, more or less for the expansion of Digos City Poblacion area and accelerates the development of the urban area of Digos;
14. To work for a new modern cemetery, slaughter house and an auction place for farm animals, vegetables and fowls.

The question in everybody's head right now is who is the right guy to take the office of the City mayor in replacement of the previously very controversial Mayor Latasa Administration that was criticized as one of the most turtle pace developing administration in the whole Davao region.

Statistically identified in the city right now as the top contenders for the office are Incumbent Vice Mayor Jojo Penas and Incumbent First City Councilor Josef Cagas, as Al Almendras lags far behind the race with less visibility and low popularity rates.

Election is comming in fast and people need to make a point of what they want and will these candidates be able to offer what the people are looking for?


Will the City of Digos have its fair judgment on this matter or will money once more prevail in manipulating the outcome of the polls this May 10, 2010.

Well here's something we don't see everyday; Government employees under the office of Mayor Latasa And Vice Mayor Penas orienting the youth and getting interested in how the lives of the youth are doing. Uncommon you say? Yes it is so uncommon or better yet weird to see them run about suddenly caring for a sector that they have been hiding from since the day the came into office.

How? u say?

Well lets state a couple of examples;

1. The SP was made to become their home as city councilors and as home to the Vice Mayor; notice that when you come to ask for solicitations or even to solicit information we never see them around.

2. They never made quality legislation for ordinary youth stakeholders.

3.They never visit Schools and communities to know of the youth are alright.

And suddenly as election starts to fill the air, ABANTE Digos began to exist and claims the best interest of the youth. They discredit all the other hard workking youth organizations and youth groups to upraise themselves in the eyes of the youth. Nevertheless, the youth is not dumb and has seen how moronic is their claim of advocacy where in track records show that they just sprouted out of nowhere during election period!

WHAT do they usually offer?

YOUTH CAMPS AND OUTINGS, in return the youth will support them?!

Wow! how low can you get! It is an insult to the youth populace to be looked down like that by these corrupted so called leaders!

"PAGSURE!"

SCHOLARSHIPS

For how many years that they are seasonal councilors and government officials none of them thought about scholarships till JOSEF Cagas came and now they claim it as their own! how stupid can you get!

They also offer other nonsense things! What in the world!

They teach incorrect principles such as purely showing black propaganda and erasing idealism and showcasing that material and short term motivations as to awakening for the election...

DIGOS CITY has long been known for its very controversial election of government officials. That of which is being showcased right now in the streets and in the scenarios of campaigning(yes it is not yet campaign period but somehow they found technical loopholes!)

2010 elections is fast approaching and I for one am engaged into the campaigning fever. But let us dig down into the deeper catacombs of these issues that haunt the field of the MAY 2010 Elections.

NPC vs NP vs LP

The three(3) most prominent political parties invade the streets of Digos City headed by great names in the history of governance in Digos City, the NPC (Nationalist Peoples Coalition) headed by its Standard bearer Hon. Joseph Penas (City Vice Mayor), the NP (Nationalista Party) headed by its standard bearer Hon. Josef F. Cagas (City Councilor) and Al Almendras as the standard bearer for the LP (Liberal Party). These people are buying for the spot as the next city mayor of Digos City that has been noted as the LEFT BEHIND CITY OF MINDANAO.

Does the people really care what party you are in or do they really care what you have to offer?

Well in the next article we will be PROBING these Candidates on what they have to offer to the Digosenos.

Digosenos have started sinking in to the pit of political injustice and ignorance, I just hope that it is not to late to change the track of where we are headed and move forward with idealism and deliverance from the hand of corrupt traditional politicians in leaders clothing!
